PulseX is a decentralized exchange built on PulseChain blockchain that allows PulseChain users to trade cryptocurrency tokens in a permissionless environment.
Unlike other DEXs like UniSwap, PulseX has no central authority or intermediaries, operating completely decentralised. This article explores the mechanics of PulseX, highlighting its unique features that could potentially transform the DeFi landscape.
PulseX innovatively replaces traditional order books with liquidity pools, facilitated by Liquidity Providers (LPs) and Automated Market Makers (AMMs). This system allows for direct token exchanges between market participants, enhancing market liquidity. PulseX has a 0.29% fee that users pay on every swap.
Liquidity Providers play a crucial role in PulseX's ecosystem. By contributing equal values of two different tokens.
There are two components to PulseX a V1 and a V2:
- In V1 liquidity pool providers don't earn fees, instead the 0.29% goes to the 'buy and burn' function. (This buy and burn feature market buys and burns the PulseX native token PLSX).
When you provide liquidity you get what is known as an 'LP token' (this is a representation of your LP position that you use to 'redeem' your LP position when you want to stop providing liquidity) Liquidity pool providers in V1 can stake their LP tokens in Yield Farms to earn the other DEX token known as INC.
- In V2 Liquidity pool providers earn fees. Out of the 0.29% fee users pay per transaction 76% money goes to the liquidity pool providers and 21% goes to the buy and burn for PLSX.
It's important to remember when a user is providing liquidity the fees they earn accrue in their position.
The remaining 1% of trading fees goes to a wallet you cannot have any exceptions of.
PulseX adopts the ‘Constant Product Market Maker’ model (x*y=k), a formula that maintains the liquidity supply constant and dynamically adjusts token prices based on trading activities. This model ensures a stable supply and balanced ecosystem exchange tokens, contributing significantly to the DeFi market's growth.
LPs on PulseX enjoy earnings from transaction fees and incentives for maintaining liquidity. However, they also face risks like 'Impermanent Loss,' which occurs when the market price of tokens deviates significantly, affecting the current market cap, and the liquidity pool's value.
PulseX prides itself on its transaction speed and cost-effectiveness, significantly outperforming major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin in these areas. This efficiency is a key factor in the platform's ability to facilitate quick and affordable coin swaps.
A distinctive feature of PulseX is its 'Buy and Burn' function, which strategically reduces the circulating supply of PLSX tokens, potentially increasing their value.
PulseX's commitment to transparent trading ensures low price slippage and efficient trading conditions. Its large liquidity pools are a significant advantage, making it an attractive platform for users seeking stable trading environments.
With its innovative features, user-friendly interface, and robust network, PulseX is poised to redefine the DeFi space. It stands out as a potential leader in the decentralised exchange domain, offering a promising future for PLSX and the broader cryptocurrency community.
