Frequently asked questions
What is PulseChain?

PulseChain is a layer one blockchain and hard fork of Ethereum 2.0 that includes a full copy of the Ethereum blockchain, including all smart contracts, ERC20 tokens, NFTs, and user account balances.

What is the PulseChain Airdrop?

PulseChain has done a fork of Ethereum on May 10th at block height 17233000 and copied all ETH, ERC20 and NFT assets to the PulseChain network. These copied tokens that users got for free are also referred to as an Airdrop.

How do I qualify for the Airdrop?

Only non-custodial holders are eligible for the airdrop. Meaning if you held any tokens on May 10th and had access to your private keys and use a software wallet like Metamask, Trust Wallet or a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor, you are eligible for the airdrop.

What if I have my coins on a Centralized Exchange (CEX)?

If you hold your crypto on centralized exchanges like Coinbase, Gemini, or Binance, you won't qualify for the PulseChain Airdrop because you don't actually own your crypto. The centralized exchanges received the airdrop, and it's up to them to decide whether to pass it on to their users. Remember, not your keys not your coins.

How do I check the value of my copied PulseChain tokens?

You can check the current value of your copied PulseChain tokens using a the above PulseChain Balance Checker tool, which doesn't require you to connect your wallet or provide any wallet signatures. Be cautious of any websites that ask you to connect your wallet to check for an airdrop.

What is the difference between ERC20 vs. PRC20 tokens?

ERC20 and PRC20 are both standards for creating digital tokens, but ERC20 tokens are built on the Ethereum blockchain, while PRC20 tokens are built on the PulseChain blockchain. Forked ERC20 tokens, such as LINK, UNI, or HEX, are called pLINK, pUNI, or pHEX on PulseChain.

How can I sell my copied tokens on PulseChain?

PulseX is the main decentralized exchange (DEX) on PulseChain. You can sell your copied token for PLS (the native PulseChain coin), a stable coin on PulseChain or any native, copied or bridged-in PRC20 token. Checkout the full list of all available tokens on PulseChain Token List. Note that copied stable coins such as USDT and USDC are not backed by the original issuers, but there are native stable coin issuers on PulseChain that are worth looking into.

Why is there a price difference of the same token on PulseChain vs. Ethereum?

Cryptocurrency prices depend on market demand and supply, which can be influenced by various factors. We created a ERC20 vs. PRC20 Comparison page so you can see how the current market values the same token on two different chains.
