What is Incentive (INC)?
INC is the Incentive Token for PulseX, created by Richard Heart to reward liquidity providers on PulseChain. Whenever someone bridges an ERC-20 asset, pairs it with its free PRC-20 copy, and deposits the LP tokens into PulseX farms, the protocol pays out INC at a baseline emission of 1 INC per second—a rate the MasterChef contract owner can adjust anywhere between 0 and 1 INC per second. Because every farmed pair deepens on-chain liquidity, INC underpins the tight spreads that make PulseX the most liquid market on PulseChain.
Unlike PLS and PLSX, INC launched with no origin address and no sacrifice phase, so its entire supply reaches the market through yield farming. That structure leads some community members to treat INC as a pure memecoin, while others view it as a leveraged bet on the success of PulseX and PLS liquidity.
INC rewards began at a flat 1 INC per second in May 2023, but the MasterChef contract has since lowered the rate in stages—first to 0.10 INC, then 0.05 INC, 0.045 INC, and most recently 0.03 INC per second. Because there is no preset “halving,” these adjustments are made at the contract owner’s discretion and are widely read as signals about when to encourage or discourage fresh liquidity.
The emission cuts also tie into “Heart’s Law,” the idea that tokens with bonded liquidity tend to move in lockstep and that lower liquidity can magnify price moves. By trimming INC rewards, the protocol nudges LPs to pull some liquidity—reducing the order-book depth that normally dampens price swings—so when demand arrives, smaller pools can climb faster. Supporters see the cuts as a strategic signal of where Heart expects the market to move; critics note the same mechanic can amplify downside if sellers rush for the exit.
